SPONSOR AD

Scott Streeter started in San Francisco Travel's Partnership team as an Account Manager before taking on the role of Senior Director, Partnership Sales. He was recently promoted to Vice President, Global Partnerships, determining sales strategies and goals for the entire partnership team. Scott shared his thoughts on San Francisco and San Francisco Travel with us.

What is your role at San Francisco Travel?

I am the Vice President of Global Partnerships. I oversee an amazing team that spends each day pushing each other and putting partners in positions to succeed.

What attracted you to the Partnership team?

Our industry is nothing without the success of the businesses that welcome visitors every day. The partnership team has the unique opportunity and responsibility to ensure our partners see the benefit of tourism to their business and our city. I feel very lucky to work with such a talented and passionate group of business and thought leaders.

Which services does your team provide to partners?

We provide a number of services to partners. It’s our job to provide our partners with benefits that allow them to achieve the greatest return possible. At the heart of it is our ability to be a sounding board for partners. We love coming up with creative ways to drive business.

In your more than five years with the company, how have you seen San Francisco Travel evolve? Where do you see it going?

Not just San Francisco Travel, but the industry as a whole continues to evolve—and we have to. As official San Francisco storytellers, we need to come up with new, creative, and innovative ways to position our brand throughout the world.  In true San Francisco fashion, I see our organization leading the way in this endeavor.

What is one must-do you would recommend to first-time visitors to San Francisco?

Pick a neighborhood and get lost in it.  Whether it’s the MissionNoe ValleyThe PresidioFisherman’s Wharf, take a day to immerse yourself with the businesses and the unique culture that each provides.

What is your favorite way to relax in the city?

I’m a sports guy, so anything that involves grabbing a beer and catching a game, or spending the day on the golf course is right up my alley.

Why is San Francisco important to you?

I’m a sixth generation San Franciscan (my newborn son is seventh!). This city is in my blood. I’ve done my fair share of traveling, but every time I land at SFO and smell the salt in the air or drive across the bridge with the fog rolling in, I know I’m home.
