Ferguson Wildfire (Yosemite National Park)
Mendocino Complex Fire
The name of the fire is a bit of a misnomer. Only a small portion of the fire is within Mendocino County borders. Although it has received a lot of national media attention, the Mendocino Complex Fire is located in a remote wilderness area approximately 60 miles east of the Pacific Coast Highway 1. Mendocino County tourism is open for business; all regional hotels, attractions and major highways are 100 percent operational and have been unaffected.
