San Francisco Event Venues in the Presidio with Spectacular Views

The Presidio offers a number of unique and historic venue options for special events, many with a spectacular view of the Bay and park grounds.

The Presidio offers a collection of unique indoor and outdoor event venues, many with spectacular views of the Golden Gate BridgeAlcatraz, and the expansive park grounds. Although these venues are currently closed due to COVID-19, you can now book for future events.

Golden Gate Club

Built in 1949, the Golden Gate Club was once the enlisted men's service club and the site of several historic treaty signings. Today, it is the Presidio's popular celebration and meeting venue on the Main Post, boasting floor-to-ceiling windows with views of San Francisco Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the Presidio forest. Containing seven different rooms of varying sizes, along with an outdoor courtyard, the Club is flexible for your needs.

Log Cabin

Originally a non-commissioned officers' club, the historic Log Cabin is one of San Francisco's only such venues. Located within the Fort Scott campus along the Presidio's western shore, not far the Golden Gate Bridge, this rustic cabin has a large lawn that's ideal for wedding ceremonies or receptions, and offers panoramic views of the San Francisco skyline. Presidio Officers' Club

For decades, military officers gathered with their colleagues and families at the Presidio Officers' Club. Today, new generations are invited to host special celebrations, weddings, and meetings in this beautiful and historic venue. The Officers' Club features the stunning Ortega Ballroom, equipped with an outdoor terrace offering panoramic views of San Francisco Bay. The open-air Hardie Courtyard is perfect for small gatherings, receptions, and exhibitions. At the center of the Officers' Club is Moraga Hall, with a large fireplace anchoring its living room setting. The hall is often used for pre-event gatherings. The Officers' Club's proximity to the Chapel of Our Lady, Presidio Chapel, and the Inn at the Presidio make it an extra-convenient location to plan a special occasion in the park. Chapel of Our Lady

Built in 1864, the quant Chapel of Our Lady was the Presidio's first house of worship. Generations of military personnel attended services in this non-denomintaional site. The Chapel is located within the Main Post, the cultural heart of the Presidio, near the Inn at the Presidio and the Presidio Officers' Club. Today, it is a favorite backdrop from wedding ceremonies, meetings, and concerts. It is also available for memorial services.

Presidio Chapel

Graced with a breathtaking view of San Francisco Bay, the Presidio Chapel is a beautiful and inspiring location for special events. Built in 1931 by the U.S. Army, the chapel's Spanish mission revival architecture features arched stained glass windows, a magnificent fresco, a high ceiling with redwood beams, wrought-iron chandeliers, and lovely oak doors. Originally used as a Protestant chapel it later became a home for interfaith worship. The Mural Room, perfect for an intimate reception, is adjacent to the sanctuary and has a view of the hillside. Outdoors, a memorial garden lined with flowers, grass and trees is the perfect place for an outdoor ceremony, taking photos, gathering before a ceremony, or hosting a standing reception.

Presidio Golf Course

The Clubhouse at the Presidio Golf Course is situated on one of the oldest courses on the West Coast. Step outside to enjoy the sweeping golf course views and dramatic sunsets from The Clubhouse's terrace. Presidio Theatre

The Presidio Theatre offers facility rentals, with an outdoor event space and a 600-seat theatre. San Francisco Film Centre

Located on the Presidio's Main Post, the San Francisco Film Centre offers versatile spaces for events of all kinds. The Film Centre's Palm Room, with adjoining covered veranda, allows guests to enjoy natural indoor and outdoor spaces with expansive views of the Golden Gate Bridge. The Presidio's dining establishments offer private dining experiences that may be combined with larger venue functions. Arguello features a contemporary bar and a large patio, as well as San Francisco's oldest dining room, The Anza Room. The Commissary offers award-winning chef Traci Des Jardin's noted California cuisine in a historic former mess hall on the Main Post. Additional options include Sessions at the Presidio and the Presidio Social Club.
