The 40th Annual Carnaval San Francisco is a celebration of music, dance & artistry showcasing the Latino & Caribbean culture taking place on Memorial Day weekend, May 26 & 27, 2018. With 400,000+ attendees, the Carnaval San Francisco outdoor cultural festival and Grand Parade is the largest multicultural celebration on the West Coast.
San Francisco's Mission District will be bursting with music, dance, and exotic food from the many countries that celebrate Carnaval traditions in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Grand Parade, a dazzling display of cultures, draws upon the broad cultural pageantry that fosters a spirit of universal inclusiveness and reaffirms cultural artistic values. The synergy of harmony and revelry draws support from individuals, municipal government, foundations and corporate sponsors.
The 2018 theme, "Roots of Carnaval" celebrates 40 years of creative beauty, light, mystery, adventure, music, dance and rich with multicultural energy.
