1. Add us to your email list
Email is our primary way of communicating with you, and we want to make sure you don't miss a beat. Add our email address to your list of safe senders so we don't end up in your spam (we get very lonely there): firstname.lastname@example.org
2. Attend Partner Orientation (often)
Partner Orientation isn't just a great way to get aquainted with who we are and what we do. It's also an opportunity to keep up-to-date on new developments and intiatives that we're working on. Bring your team, send your new hires, and reaquaint yourself often by attending one of these convenient monthly sessions.
3. Present at Partner Showcase
We spend a lot of time telling you what we do — here's your chance to turn the tables. You'll have the undivided attention of our Convention, Tourism, Marketing and Partnership teams to present what your businesses does and who your target market is. Partner Showcase fills up quickly, so register early to save your spot.
4. Keep your listing fresh
Have seasonal hours? Take some new photos? Add a new menu item? Your web listing is a living document and the more relevant you keep it, the more engaged your viewers will be. And we've made it easier than ever to make it happen. Just login to our Partner Portal, click on "Account Management" and update copy, upload photos and review your business details. Changes are live on the website within one business day, and can be made as often as you'd like. Afterall, our website is highly optimized and attracts more than 4.8 million visitors annually — don't you want to look your best?
5. Read the Cablegram
Every Wednesday, we deliver our most pertinent partner and industry news straight to your inbox. You don't have to respond, or really move in any way, but it surely helps if you read it. It's packed with marketing opportunities, upcoming event details, tourism news and much more.
6. Attend our networking events
We believe being truly inspired helps establish stronger connections. That's why we host our quarterly Partner Business Exchanges in truly unique San Francisco locations (here's a great conversation starter: "Can you believe we're at __________ right now?!"). And everyone who attends is just like you — looking to make relationships with local like-minded businesses.
7. Follow us on Facebook
We've got our finger on the pulse of what's going on in the visitor and convention industry, and as you can imagine, that's a lot of stories to tell. Since we know you're on Facebook anyways (not during work hours...of course) follow our industry page for daily news and updates. It's also where we post our event photos, including the ones that your boss took in the photo booth when nobody was looking.
8. Give us your feedback
Really happy with something we're doing? Eager to see us make improvements to a program or system? Let us know. Seriously, we get giddy when a partner reaches out to give us feedback, regardless if it's positive or negative. It makes us better, so we welcome all comments.
9. Review your benefits
You're paying for them, so make sure you take care of every benefit you signed up for! Check what's included in your package often, and share with your team to make sure you're marking off every opportunity that's available to you.
